Me? I am wife and a mother of two boys, Nicholas and Andrew, a stepdaughter, Taylor, and now a grandmother. (The grandmother bit is crazy since I still get carded from time to time.) Since I was young, I have had a passion for writing. For nearly 20 years, I have been a professional writer in journalism, public relations, fundraising and now architecture. After finding myself at a turning point in my life, looking for a new start and trying to figure out what path I wanted to take, I decided to start writing about my life. It was my hope that maybe my experiences could help other people in other aspects of their own lives. As a woman who has also lost her father to cancer and an 18-year-old stepson in a tragic accident and lived through the basic trials, tribulations and adventures of life, I may not have all the answers, but I’m willing to help wherever and whoever I can. As my best friend and I have continued to say throughout our lives, ‘What doesn’t kill us, just makes us stronger.” Writing is what makes me happy next to my family so my only hope is that people enjoy my blog, provide me feedback and that I never lose sight of what’s truly important in life.

The ups and downs of life aren’t usually that bad, but it’s the twists and turns that get me every time. My blog is just a place for me to talk about my experiences over the years and how I have attempted to find my way to the other side with a firm grip around my family and sometimes my sanity. I may not have all the answers, but I like to talk and try to figure what I’m supposed to do and sometimes that’s half the battle.
